The UDW10003 digital wireless surveillance system by Uniden provides safety and peace of mind with the convenience of a portable monitor receiving a video camera. Included in the digital surveillance method is a portable UDWC23 camera and a colored video display. The method comes with the Uniden Safety Surveillance software program permitting attributes which includes intelligent motion detection, record scheduler, and detection sensitivity so you can have detailed playback of the footage recorded from your computer. The three.5-inch color screen supports up to four cameras with quad playback so you can view up to 4 cameras at once. Other views include things like auto scan and individual view. Use the digital zoom and pan capabilities to retrieve detailed facts that is challenging to see under normal view. The wireless surveillance technique utilizes two.4 digital FHSS, which means zero interference from other devices and prevents any hacking into your program. The portable LiON rechargeable battery offers up to four-hours of life for the camera and 8-hours for the base.

I actually purchased this from an additional retailer (sorry Amazon, I enjoy you!) and I'm Particularly pleased with the performance of this camera. I essentially have mounted mine outside the residence making use of the (included) aluminum mounting bracket. Please note that this camera is NOT waterproof for that reason I have it mounted beneath the eaves exactly where it will not get wet. Although not particularly marketed as an outdoor camera, I am pleased to report it working exceptionally properly in that capacity. The operating temperature is rated only for 14 - 120 degrees so when the bitter winds of winter start to blow I will have to take the camera down for a couple of months :-( As others have stated, the image excellent is Great (all digital working with Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum). The camera will automatically switch to a particularly strong infrared illuminator at dusk and it lights up the complete entry way of my home (about a 30 ft wide swath). The only annoyance is that Uniden did not believe to place a switch to turn the I/R illuminator OFF which would come in genuinely handy if you wanted to mount the camera indoors seeking out through a pane of glass. In this case the I/R illuminator reflects off the glass immediately in front of the camera rendering the image useless so either strategy to use this camera OUTDOORS or INDOORS but not INDOORS Searching OUTDOORS. Inside the residence the I/R illumination is ridiculously vivid and fills the complete room with invisible light which only the camera can pick up. The camera also has the capability to auto-cycle among up to four cameras at pre-set intervals of time (5/10/15/20 seconds) and has the ability to watch all four cameras at when in QUAD mode. I haven't tried the included Computer software program that records all of this but other users appear to be happy with this function. The range is beneficial, it will penetrate my home about 120' but struggles a bit when the signal comes from outdoors to my basement. Both the camera and the monitor use Lithium-Ion batteries so the recharge time is swift and they final for hours (there are included power adaptors for each camera and monitor included). Overall Uniden did an Excellent job with this packaged program and I've been fairly pleased with it - very suggested!
For months we struggled with two Babies-R-Us monitors in the $150 price range. We were continuously battling interference and extended cords as we moved the two (for 2 babies) monitors from space to area.Then shopping at Sams club this week I saw the Uniden set and decided to give it adjust out of frustration with the other set. With the Uniden we only need to have a single monitor and two cameras. The monitor is rechargeable so it can go cordless through the day. Interference is a thing of the past now. The monitor lets you scan through up to four cameras at varying intervals or you can place all cameras on the screen at once. You can manully scan among cameras and even zoom in and stayed zoomed!
Due to the fact I purchased 2 systems, I will purchase some even more cameras and use the second monitor for monitoring outdoors. The old child monitor are going on Craigs List or Ebay as soon as I can get them packaged up.
It's so nice to have some thing perform as expected appropriate out of the package.
6 MONTH UPDATE: So, we've been using this monitor for 6 months now and you know what? WE Nonetheless Really like IT! The monitor is generally keeping track of two 1+ youngsters through nap time (roughly four hrs per day) and we drag it all more than the home. We also use the monitor when out in the backyard pool and the kid(s) are inside sleeping. The only problem is with heavy use the battery is perfect on the edge of becoming drained at the finish of the day. But of course it contains a rechargeable battery so no problema! I've in no way had any video freezing problems or audio problems, absolutely nothing.
