I read all the evaluations just before I tried this item. I am quite concerned and picky shopper. I thought I would give this a attempt. I believe the crucial to this product is the flooring you are applying this on. The foot on the lock functions good on title or wood. I would not recommend this product on carpet.
A single key point to don't forget...the farther away you have the base from the door the much less strength it has. Attempt to get it between 70 degrees and 80 degrees. I was able to knock it out of place at 50 and 60. I normally do not be concerned about safety in spite of this, I am a heavy sleeper. I can fend for myself but I have to hear it initially.
