The Defender SN502-4Ch-002 is my initially DVR program and for what it has need to be my final. It shops a months worth of video and the video is surprisingly decent. On a 55" television the quality isn't much worse than what standard cable, working with only the coax cable, would be. The color quality is amazing. As far as the night vision I am incredibly surprise on how nicely the night vision video. In some cases I just like to turn to the dvr's channel to see if the pesky neighborhood cats are around. I've see a few very good cat fights with it, oh and you have instant replay! I hope this video helps. Make positive you get to the finish to see video samples.
Let me just say that I put these systems in a lot for many people and its not a poor little household system. I like the attributes that the DVR delivers and it comes with everything you will want in a total package. The cameras on the other hand had been not a especially beneficial top quality.
